N,O‐(2‐carboxyethyl)chitosan (N,O‐2‐CEC) was prepared from chitosan with 3‐chloropropionic acid as modifying agent and NaOH as binding‐acid agent. 2‐Hydroxypropyl dimethylbenzylammonium N,O‐(2‐carboxyethyl) chitosan chloride (HPDMBA‐CEC) was obtained by the reaction of N,O‐2‐CEC with glycidyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (GDMBA) using NaOH as catalyst. The structures of chitosan derivatives were characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, and gel permeation chromatography. The antimicrobial activity of HPDMBA‐CEC was evaluated against a Gram‐negative bacterium Escherichia coli (E.coli) and a Gram‐positive bacterium Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). Compared with CTS, N,O‐2‐CEC, and HPDMBA‐CTS, HPDMBA‐CEC had much stronger antimicrobial activity, and this activity increased with increasing substitution degree of quaternary ammonium group (DQ). When the substitution degree of carboxyethylation (DS of CE) was 0.72 and DQ was 0.60, the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of HPDMBA‐CEC were 3.1 and 6.3 μg/mL against S. aureus and E. coli, respectively. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Prediction of substructure and toxicity of pesticides with temperature constrained-cascade correlation network from low-resolution mass spectra. 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Artificial neural networks are trained to predict the toxicity or active substructures of organophosphorus pesticides and then are applied to screening GC/MS data for environmentally hazardous compounds. Every mass spectral scan in the chromatographic run is classified, and separate chromatograms are obtained for either toxicity or substructure classes. Classification of mass spectra allows the detection of chromatographic peaks from potentially hazardous compounds that may be missing from the reference database. The neural network models predict substructures and toxicity from mass spectra without first determining the complete configurational structure of the pesticides. Temperature constrained-cascade correlation networks (TCCCN) were used because they are self-configuring networks that train rapidly and robustly. The toxicity classes are defined by the World Health Organization, and the substructure classes are standard organophosphorus pesticide groupings. The TCCCN models are used to mathematically resolve peaks in the chromatograms by substructure and toxicity. Evaluations yielded classification rates of 97 and 84% for substructure and toxicity, respectively. 相似文献

Bubble emergence in a gas‐liquid flow in a T‐junction microchannel of 100 μm diameter, operated under a squeezing regime, was simulated with the computational fluid dynamics method. In general, bubble formation in channels includes three stages: expansion, collapse and pinching off. After analyzing and comparing quantitatively the three forces of pressure, surface tension and shear stress acting on the gas thread in the whole process, their effects in the different stages were identified. The collapse stage was the most important for bubble formation and was investigated in detail. It was found that the collapse process was mostly influenced by the liquid superficial velocity, and the rate and time of collapse can be correlated with empirical equations including the liquid superficial velocity, the capillary number and the Reynolds number. 相似文献

Three kinds of star-shaped nylon 6 samples with different branched-chain length were prepared by the hydrolytic polymerization
of ε-caprolactam using trimesinic acid as trifunctional reactant. The structure of prepared star-shaped nylons was characterized
by infrared spectroscopy and 1H-NMR. Compared with linear-chain nylon 6, star-shaped nylons with the equivalent molecular weight present higher melt flow
indices and lower relative viscosities due to decreased molecular dimensions and reduced hydrogen bond interactions between
neighboring molecules. The molecular weights of the products were determined by end-group titration and 1H-NMR, and the molecular weight distributions (MWDs) were evaluated by gel permeation chromatography. The results show that
the molecular weight decreased and the MWD narrowed as the concentration of trimesinic acid increased. Wide-angle X-ray diffraction
patterns of star-shaped and linear-chain nylons show that increasing the concentration of trimesinic acid leads to good symmetry
and high crystallizability, but this also degrades crystal perfection as observed using a polarized optical microscope. The
viscosity of nylon 6 can be significantly reduced while maintaining its mechanical performance through the use of star-branching
and an appropriate concentration of trimesinic acid. 相似文献
